A free service provided by the California
Integrated Waste Management Board designed to help businesses find markets
for materials they have traditionally discarded. Businesses can list
materials for exchange or find wanted materials. As part of the CIWMB's
Border WasteWi$e activities, they recently launched:
CalMex - http://www.ciwmb.ca.gov/calmax/calmex/ - initiative that is part of a larger program involving several groups, including the USEPA and the Cities of San Diego and Tijuana, called the Border Waste-Wise Programa. This bilingual expansion of CalMAX has been created to encourage exchanges of potentially useful discards within the San Diego/Tijuana border area. Links are provided to other exchanges and waste commodities trading systems like the one operated by the Chicago Board of Trade.
